the internet song I wrote while resetting my router this morning.

Internet, Internet
My dog ate the Internet!
I just love the Internet
It's the place for you and me!

Internet, Internet
Let's all go to the Internet!
My dog broke the Internet!
It's the place for you and me!

Internet, Internet
Let's all go to the Internet!
My dog loves the Internet!
It's the place for you and me!

Internet, Internet
It's big and wide and Internet
I just saw the Internet
It's the place for you and me!

(My dog did not actually break the Internets)

axle on one side, wreck on the other

On the way downtown there was an accident. There was a truck axle on the right hand side of the highway, and a wreck on the left had side about a city block down the road. A truck pulling a trailer had flipped on its side.

The Middle East conflict: stupid

The Israelis are having their way with Hamas, tearing up Gaza. Women and children are dying in the crossfire. I used to get all choked up about this sort of thing, but no longer. I don't care if the Israelis kill every man, woman and child in Gaza. If you rocket-attack your neighbor, and he's way more powerful than you, you got it coming. Unfortunately, you brought down your neighbor's wrath on your children and women as well.

But at the same time, I wouldn't care if Gaza (with Iran's help or whatever) somehow wiped Israel off the map. You occupy a country and make life miserable for somebody else, and they rocket attack you, then you have it coming as well.

These two groups will never, ever live in peace. Never in one hundred million years.

My moral clarity (or lack of moral clarity) ends there. I do not apply this hard logic to the injustices that took place here in North America. If the blacks and Native Americans decided to seek reparations (and sweet, sweet revenge) for slavery and genocide, that would be horrible, because it would affect me, Dan Manning.

So actually, the first two paragraphs in this post are total bullshit. There is no easy answer for the Middle East conflict. Every child and every woman in Gaza and Israel is sacred.*

This stupid conflict is another example of the failure of man; it negates any claim of divinity, evolution, intelligence or intelligent design with respect to mankind. We are no different than when we stooped around in caves (or bashed each other over the heads with rocks because our sacrifices didn't "please God" i.e. Cain and Abel).

I'm just happy people don't carry around rocket launchers here in the USA. That would suck ass. We only have a zillion handguns.

*Not the men: we men are assholes and should be destroyed, but only after first freezing our semen in cryogenic laboratories across the world, so that mankind can carry on, but only as a race of genetically perfect females. This is my vision for a peaceful and far more beautiful mankind. The Y chromosome is the root of all evil.

Why is the theme from "Rockford Files" stuck in my head?

The theme from "The Rockford Files" is inexplicably in my head this morning, and I can't get it out. I haven't seen that show since it was on (The Seventies) and I never actually watched that show, I would always change channels when it was on. In fact, I don't recall every actually watching the show, but I must have because not only was the tune in my head, I knew what show it belonged to. The brain: just weird.
