The tale of Two Adaptors:

It all started as a normal Thursday. I had one machine to drop off on the other side of town. I loaded up the car and took off. Traffic was heavy. I got to the customer's house, a newly formatted machine waiting to be returned to its home, where it would then dutifuly deliver illegal .mp3 files and porn until it was defiled again. But when I got there, alas, I had forgotten an adaptor this particular machine needed in order to connect. It was the DVI to VGA adaptor. The first one I've had to cart around in my 2.33 years at A1CSR. I was all the way across town, and I couldn't display the things workability to the customer. Needless to say, I was pissed. But I made a graceful exit, promising to deliver the litte f*cking adaptor later in the day. I stopped by the Manning Estate and got the offending adaptor, which had attached itself, unnoticed, to my test bench monitor cable. From there, I was off on an all new adventure. I unpacked, deployed and tranfered files to a new machine in a fancy house. I finished that, and then jetted off to West Olive, MI, where I explained how I could manifest web pages that would astound and befuddle anyone looking for a used car. My work done at the used car place, I headed back to the first customer's place. I connected the video, and the machine was working in perfect order. Then I went home, to find my brand spanking new shiny, compact Mac Mini. I unpacked it, thrilled to be able to see the computing world from both sides. I unpacked it, and found that they had forgotten to send the DVI to VGA adaptor. I called apple and they would ship it out, but now I have to wait another 5-7 business days. F*CK!~
